pART I </So, what is RSS?
RSS --> Really Simple Syndication
A standard for Web feeds; a syndication format
An example:
a) Point your browser to: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/
b) Click on the RSS icon on your ADDRESS BAR
c) You get the RSS file (the so-called feed) of the blog. That's it: only contents, no form.
d) Now, you could subscribe to that feed, if you had an aggregator, or a newsreader.
{So, we're going get one}
e) But I'll show you my subscriptions, with Netvibes & Google Reader.
f) Now, watch the video RSS in plain English, and enjoy!
http://www.commoncraft.com/rss_plain_english
f) Then, you may check your RSS papers we distributed.
pART II: </ Now, Let's get netvibes
First, see one example of netvibes aggregation in action:
http://www.netvibes.com/nmd09
</ we'll use netvibes as an aggregator} --> www.netvibes.com
and open your account.
